This year the Oxford English Dictionary added the word “Selfie” to its pages. Some see the practice of the selfie as democratizing the tradition of self-portraiture, which has been around long before any of today’s social media. Yet there are key differences in each practice of self-reflection, a topic which is often debated here at Latent Image when experimenting with our own photography.
